ELIGIBILITY:
Arizona Veterans.

BENEFITS:
A veteran or eligible dependent who has applied for educational benefits under the G.I. Bill at state-supported community colleges, colleges and universities may defer payment of tuition, fees and required books for a period of 120 days with no interest charges. If, at the end of such period, the person has not received from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs the initial benefit monies for tuition and fees, an extension may be granted until such time benefits are received.

Colorado

BENEFITS / ELIGIBILITY:
1.)Tuition assistance .Reduced or Free tuition at certain designated State Institutions of post-secondary education for members of the Colorado National Guard(must serve 2 years for each year granted)

2.)Tuition assistance.Free tuition in certain State-support schools for children of prisoners of war or persons missing in actions who were Colorado residents when they entered the Armed Forces, or for children of Colorado National Guardsmen who died or were permanently disabled while on State active duty limited to dependents who do not qualify for Federal Education benefits.

Nevada

ELIGIBILITY:According to the Nevada State Regulation - Tuition shall not be charged to a member of the Armed Forces of the United States, on active duty, stationed in Nevada as a result of a permanent change of duty station pursuant to military orders, or a person whose spouse, family or legal guardian is a member of the Armed Forces of the United States stationed in Nevada as a result of a permanent change of duty station pursuant to military orders.

APPLICATION: Apply through the admissions director at the Nevada college of your choice. (You must fit the required criteria to qualify for certain benefits and these benefits are not guaranteed).

New Mexico

ELIGIBILITY:

1.) Children (age 16-26) of deceased veterans who were New Mexico residents at the time of entry into military service, served during period of armed conflict, were Killed in Action or died as a result of such military service; also children of deceased members of New Mexico National Guard and New Mexico Police killed while on active duty.

2.) Vietnam Veterans' Scholarships - a program created to provide aid for Vietnam veterans who are undergraduate and graduate students attending public and selected private non-profit postsecondary institutions in New Mexico.Applicants and coursework must be certified by the New Mexico Veteran's Service Commission.

BENEFITS:

1.) Full tuition at all state schools; $300 maximum for matriculation, fees, board, room, books, supplies at state colleges.

2.) Maximum award includes tuition, required fees and a book allowance.

Utah

Although there are no veteran specific Education benefits offered by the State of Utah, Weber State University in Ogden, Offers the Veteran's Upward bound Program (VUB).

The VUB program provides assistance to veterans in obtaining admission to post secondary schools. They will provide tutors to veterans in Ogden and Salt Lake City. All of the services provided by VUB are free to the veteran.

Wyoming

Vietnam Veteran's Scholarship:

Eligibility:

Wyoming veterans with one year residency and active service with the U.S. Armed Forces between 8/5/65 and 5/7/75 who received Vietnam service medal between those dates may be eligible for up to ten semesters of free tuition (not including fees) at the University of Wyoming or at any of the state's community colleges.Only veterans who have exhausted their VA benefits entitlements may be qualified to receive funds from this program

BENEFITS:

1.)Survivors: Monthly funding amount is available to assist eligible students.

2.)Vietnam Vets: Free Tuition at University of Wyoming or Wyoming community colleges.
